My try. Probably my 5th time hitting reset in LR3 and just starting over. Maybe just a bad shot. Everyone's PP looks great though.

I created three exposures in ViewNX2, then converted them to Jpeg. Opened in Photomatix and created the HDR. Once saved, I reopened the jpg in ViewNX and sharpened it, added a little D-lighting, and saved. Lastly, opened in LR3 and sharpened a little more and did some noise reduction.

Here's my attempt at this one. Can't remember everything I did. In Camera Raw I adjusted the horizon, lowered the exposure, increased contrast, clarity, vibrance and saturation. In PS, I used the Topaz plugins Adjust, Detail and De-Noise. I played with exposure, saturation, sharpening, and adjusted individual hues of red, yellow and green. Through most of this I treated the sky and city separately. This one was tough.

Earth-bound misfit
I chose dramatic processing for a dramatic image. I, too, treated the sky and city very differently, though I did apply a graduated filter in Camera Raw to equalize things a bit before moving it into PS . I see myself tweaking this one.

Thanks, having the RAW file helps, using the grad filter in camera RAW. Then processing the top and bottom as different images with layers and masking.

nice to see different processings on the shot. I wanted it to be challenging (and it sounds like it was) so thanks for your time and efforts!

I disagree with unanimity

in camera raw....
graduated filter
straighten horizon
upped clarity, vibrance, brightness
set WB to daylight
then in ps made adjustments with hdr efex pro

I cleaned out a lot of junk, street signs, street cones, dump turck, trash, and non working items in the fountain pool.
I put structure to everything but the clouds, and blued up the sky. And cropped about 1/2 inch and right.
