The Official Time Lapse thread

Here is my crappy fist attempt.

1 frame every ten seconds, 15fps timeline to compile it. Camera was on full auto. I adjusted the ISO. I was busy working so I couldnt baby the camera and make manual adjustments. I also got the first half hour way out of focus

I now have some better ideas on what techniques to try next time I get a chance to do time lapse.

I've made two attempts at viewing and the movie never loads beyond roughly 1/3. I assume the Gallery servers are just crawling right now, at least from where I'm at.

woah very nice...

what'd you use to trigger it every 10 seconds? and how long did you let it take pictures?

i think Nikon's software can control your camera for time-lapse stuff...i'll have to check that out and post my first attempt in here as well...

Nice one sarlacc.

Since this is the official thread and I still don't think search is working - here's the one I did a few months ago:

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/lBNcOjY8DLM&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/lBNcOjY8DLM&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

I got the whole thing to load earlier, but it took a while. It ended right as the sun was peaking over the mountains.

I was working...that was the end of it. I had other shit that was pressing and no other support... I was a one man band for two days of LENGTHY shooting ALL around LA. Many laws broken, many places we got ejected from for having no permit, many likes and dislikes discovered with this new camera system we had...etc etc. The time lapse, sadly, just wasnt the high priority.

We were driving around in an Odyssey with the side door open shooting out of it....local rodes, freeway, etc .

Around the civic center downtown we got nailed by a cop. Dude took all our licenses, asked if we had bombs, grenades, rockets, etc

It was pretty damn funny. Then we got ejected from a few locations from private security...still got all the shots we wanted though
