Seems after yesterdays camera hell I had an interesting spot of luck.

Out of the blue I decided to call a best buy near me, honestly not sure why. I asked if they had a d800 and they yes...so I said please hold Ill be right there.

Turns out someone ordered it offline...found one somewhere else and JUST returned it to this location. It was going to be shipped to Mass to sell...and I got lucky.

After I got there they 3 other people called looking for one.

So...neat.

BUT...I am going to wait before I go full bore. I am on the NPS waiting list...so I'm gonna see how long it takes to fill that order...since Im buying through a store I used to use in New Jersey I won't have to worry about tax on that one.

I also might open this one...and when the NPS one comes in, just return that one to best buy.

Found out they changed some of their policies to compete...30 days on electronic returns now, and no restocking fees, and the item does NOT have to sealed...at least thats what I was told, I'm going to find it in writing first.

 

Heh. My camera from the nps list arrived at the shop I specified today. sweet.
