I am looking to buy a somewhat decent P&S camera in the $150 range. I have come across the nikon P310? Is it really worth it? Are there any others in this price range that I need to consider?

After reading about it on amazon.com for $200, doesn't seem to be a bad camera. It does have a CMOS sensor, not ccd. So you should get better low light images.

 

Decent is a relative term. I understand budgets but ...
But IMO its impossible to get a decent PS in the $150 range.
The optics are quite inferior and the sensor size is way too small.
If you want the ultimate in PS cameras ... The Sony RX1 has a Full Frame Sensor
... apx 50 mm diag and is 1.5x larger than APS{$2500}.
The Sony RX 100 as shown below has a 16 mm diag sensor {$600}.
