Need Canon Help! (SLR)

Ok so I thought I could figure this out, but the guys at wolf camera cant either. But there young so I dont think there so edjucated about 35mm film cameras. I jus cant figure out how to open the film door. I know its like a $10 camera, but I vaule this more then my rebel, cause my dad passed it down to me.. and so This is what I did:

Heres the camera(Canon T-50):

I pushed this in first:

I then cranked this clock wise:

and normally I think the door would pop open when you turn it enough and pull up the crank. But all thats not working. Im un-sure if the camera has film in it or not.

Thanks.

I assume there aren't any buttons on the back since you didn't post a picture. The button on the bottom is the release that allows you to rewind the film. It shouldn't have anything to do with opening the door.

IMO, your hunch was correct about pulling up on the rewind knob. You should not have to turn the rewind crank at all to do this. With the crank folded in, you should be able to just grab that same knob and pull up.

EDIT: Bdog's skills > mine.

You know what? I was worried about breaking it by pulling up to hard. Well I said "screw it" and yanked it. It opened. lol Just making sure I wasnt missing anything. Thanks

Good job, I was too lazy to type "close rewind latch and just pull the knob up"... thanks Billiam! ...and now you have a manual if you want one.

Have you ever had problems with the shutter on yours. I have one a aunt gave to me years ago, once over other roll the shutter will fold in on itself.
