So I got up at 5:30 am Easter Morning to meet up with a friend who had something he wanted to share with me.

That is the female, the male does the fishing and eats the head. Then brings the rest back to the nest for the female to eat.

That first shot is amazing. I only wish I could see the entire bird in flight...never the less a great capture.

And come to think of it...yeah you don't post much with people...practice that!

Yeah...Im typically not one for people either (aside from my own kids)

But I'm always told I do a great job at catching slices of life when I do.

Using 300mm 2.8 with 2.0 TC, I'll do some soon, but it will just be my kids baseball team playing.

Impressive Solo! What shuuter speed did you use, also, what vantage point did you have to capture the nests shots?

Most are about 1/3000 or 1/4000 shooting at F/6.3 ISO 800. I was about 50 ft away. The post was about 25ft tall. Was shooting cropped body with 300mm with 2xTC.
