Moon, Venus and Jupiter
Moon, Venus and Jupiter
lets see everyone's shots that went out for this...i could see all three extremely well with such clear skies around here...too bad my 210mm is as close as i could get...

and here's a 245 second exposure showing their motion...

this was difficult not just because of my 210mm lens, but because the moon is so damn bright, you didn't want to leave your shutter open very long...but by not leaving it open very long, you couldn't catch Venus and Jupiter very well...and by leaving it open too long, besides washing out the moon, you would get all three of them streaking across your image...
i like the first one the best...

Nice work! I like #3 the best.
BTW, take a look at Jupiter and Venus at full zoom (1:1) and see if you can tell any differences in the two. Venus goes through phases just like the moon. It's possible that you might be able to see that Venus doesn't look as round as Jupiter when you're zoomed in all the way. Then again, 210mm of FL might not be enough.

Here is a pic from last night:

Had to edit the pic because it was difficult to get a good shot.

Cools shots. It's just kind of weird (in an interesting way) how the relative positions are so much different based on location.
The view in SoCal last night was closer to rimz shot. The moon was lower that Venus and Jupiter the previous couple of nights.

That's what they gave me, I know for sure it was a 2x because I specifically wanted a 1.4 but it was already gone.
