Technology wise I think it's pretty cool! No focusing, just snap picture and it captures all light, then after downloading to computer you can choose what you want in focus and what not. It appears to have lots of limitations, as a shot with everything in focus and quality, but it seems pretty cool nonetheless.

I was talking to a couple other photogs about this over the weekend. None of us felt the need or desire to try this out.
The technology is great, but I wonder what the market is for this specific offering.

We had a set photographer on set with us this week who was given a prototype of one of these to test out.
He let me play with it...but we were slammed and I never really got to play with the software on the computer.
The camera itself is really cool. Its very "apple like" in nature. Its more or less all touch interface. The idea behind it is really cool. build quality is solid.
The reality is that, to me anyway, its a special use camera. It has certain applications, but its certainly not and everything for anything camera.
My only complaint...it could use a high res screen. Its good...but as it stands, you really need to use the software on a computer to see what your doing with focal points.
