Looking for a dslr

I really enjoy photography, and I have been looking at getting a dslr, right now I just have a little olympus camera that's waterproof. I was wondering what people suggest for someone like me. I'm not really sure what to look for. I like to take pictures of my boyfriend wakeboarding, or wake surfing. but I also like to take pictures of cars and other random things. like...

I was looking at the Nikon d90..I don't want anything super expensive, although I might upgrade in the future. but I would like some opinions please, anything helps..!

What's your budget?
You should know that when you buy a dslr, there's more to it than just the dslr. Gotta get lenses and other accessories such as memory cards.

If the d90 is within your budget, then get it. It's a great camera.

There's a package at costco with two lenses with the D90. The package is for 1,400. So somewhere around that price would probably be good
