awesome story, indeed...sounds like it became a game of detective work for him, not to mention just being a nice guy for going through all that trouble...

pretty coincidental that there was a Noel from Ireland at the same hotel, though turned out not to be the correct one after emailing him...

too bad he didn't have a USB cable to hook up the camera and download the pictures...sometimes you can find some good info within pictures by opening them up in a text editor...for example, every picture i take my camera inserts a comment line with my name in it, just in case someone tries to steal my work...

Pretty cool. Similarly, I just saw a human interest story on the "news" where a vet just recently (within the past month or two) returned a bible he found - during the Vietnam war.

Camera and paper can be replaced. Pictures/memories and sentimental value cannot.
