I need your help quick!!!!!

Hey guys, I'm going to meet up with this guy on craigslist and buy this 1D MKIII. He's selling it for 1800. Actuation count is 130K. I'm going to bring my laptop with me to check the count and image quality. Are there replica cameras out there? Is this a good deal? I talked to the guy already and he doesn't sound fishy but I need you guys to give me some advice on inspecting this camera. Will be meeting up with him around 2 in the afternoon. Please give me any kind of advice. Thank you.

But do you think it's fishy? At first I hesitated. But then I would hate to pass up a great deal so I gave him a call. I'm actually pretty nervous dropping money on this because I'm afraid it might be a scam or something. But if it's not a scam, that's one hell of a deal.

I know nothing about cameras so I'm not sure Spending $1800 on a camera, especially being used, is something I'd never do though. Take a few pictures with it, play with it, check them on your laptop and if it seems legit to you then why not?

I'm such an idiot. The 1D MKIII is not the kind of camera I thought it would be. It's not full frame and it's actually only 10MP. I know the MP doesn't count, but it's still not the camera I was looking for. I didn't know there was a 1D MKIII and 1Ds MKIII

130k actuations is shitload. id be worried about mechanical wear. honestly, it sounds to me that you are just starting photography. for 1800 you can get a brand new 7d, probably and a lens if you push for it.

^ I'm not THAT new to photography. I've been playing with my cousins 7D for more than a month now. I've got a lot of things down including strobe photography. I was just confused on why the 1D MKIII was 1800 but never knew there was that little "s" on some models.

130K is a lot yes, but the lifespan for 1DMKIII is 300K so I wasn't really worried about that.
