Well, I purchased a chroma green mulsin-like background a few days ago. I'm hoping to do a bunch of composite type photos. I don't have any interesting background photos yet to use. I found out that 3 strobe is not going to cut it. I used 2 just to light the background. *sigh* I'm going to look for alternative lighting to light the background and free up those two other flashes.

The trick to using green screen is the the screen has to be pretty evenly lit. Then, its just avoiding green spill on the subject. Using warm gels. such as 1/4 CTO, on your back light helps with that.

My experience has been you need a minimum of 4 lights. However, for the rear lights you can just buy a few halogen flood lamps at a hardware store. The trick is as even, flat lighting as possible. Otherwise you'll be doing a lot of photoshop rotoscoping.
