glow - Santa Monica
Last night in Santa Monica there was some "art installation" event called glow.
Basically, after showing up, I discovered it really more an all night rave on the pier/beach. They had DJs spread out everywhere, and the "at installations" were areas set up with video projectors and nothing coherent playing on them.
There were also TONS of people. Too many.
Either way I snapped some shots. A lot of it was playing around. I wasn't too happy with most of what I got but there are couple OK shots. I even played around with black & white a little. Some shots I can't decide if they are better in color or b&w.
The new Ferris Wheel
Ravers
Night Beach south of the Pier
Art North of the Pier
Ambulance on the Pier
Too many people on the pier

As they always say, "the freaks come out at night". Looks like a fun night out.

Cool pics! I like #2 and #6 the best. Man that crowd would have been too much for me.

I just solidfied my shoulders so people bounced off me rather than knocked back, and I kept whacking people out my way wearing my Slingbag 300 ...its got some girth.

Big Block go VROOOM!
Nice work man. I definitely like the B&W crowd shots better than the color ones. And the shots of the motion-blurred performers with the non-blurred crowd in the background are really interesting.

is learning to moonwalk i
Lots of people like that is bad enough. Through in X (or even alcohol or whatever is the current drug of choice) and I want no part of it. I even hate the crowds at "The Happiest Place on Earth".
BTW - nice pics. Though a few of them could have used some IS or a tripod
