Flickr Help!!!! Please.

Has anyone else had their flickr images being replaced with other crap just in the past few hours?? Several of my photos have other people's crappy images in their place (and by crappy I mean low-res, though some are ugly, too). When I refreshed the front page, more were gone. Some of them, when clicked on, still go to my original image, but not all. I deleted one altogether without thinking. I haven't checked everything, but several sets are affected. Even a photo that is the front "page" of one of my sets. I feel ill.

I'm going to go figure out how to contact flickr, but thought I'd ask here. Jesus.

...the 4th one on the front page - that ugly red thing, also the "cover" of the "Blue Ridge Mountains" set, and several photos within that set have been effed with.

When I click on "help by email," or "report abuse" I get sent to a page that says "Flickr is having a massage." That's so helpful.

Sorry Crazy88, you beat me to it. Hopefully this glitch in the matrix will be fixed with no permanent damage.

If were all having problems something probably got hacked or went wrong. I think by "having a massage" they mean gettin all the kinks and recent problems out. I was sooo confused.

Flickr seems to have a lot of these moments. I just signed up a few days ago and this is like the 3 or 4 time I've seen this.

Really? I haven't had any trouble. I'm actually glad I can't even get to my page anymore. It was disturbing!

Glad to hear it. I'm thinking I'm wound up from a crummy day today. Time to go work off some steam. Thanks for the quick responses!

^^^ Good point. I also think Yahoo is changing things over to there way of doing things. It looks like log-ins and password are to be changed.

the blog is a good thing..

Image cachooo!

Well, we're sorry about the downtime folks, but some of our image caches flaked out on us, which caused all sorts of weirdness on the site. And not good weirdness, either.

We'll be back in a blip, and will keep you posted until we get it all sorted out!

6PM PST Update: Looks like we wrestled the image caches back under control. We should be back shortly now.

6:15PM PST Update: And, we're back! We do apologize for the outage. And if you see any remaining image oddness on the site, a SHIFT + REFRESH will clear it up.

6:45PM PST Update: We are down again. Please bear with us :/

7:15PM PST Update: Another engineer has joined the fight.

I've run into update stuff happening in the wee hours of the morning, but never anything like this.

The biggest problem I ever had was I couldn't, and still can't, delete two of my pictures. They exist only as thumbnails. I have asked flicker about it a couple times and they "kicked the servers" to no avail. Now I like my spooky ghost pictures.

Mine was still messed up this am, too. Their help blog recommends a shift+refresh, which they say works for most. It that doesn't work, clear your cache, then try it again. Mine's good to go now.

Mine was fine when I checked it this morning. I did have to do the forced refresh though. No big deal considering what happened.
