He gets treated like royalty around here.

I'll come when I get a Zoooooooooooooooooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmmm Lens.

The 18-55 doesn't even have enough zoom at 10 to 15 feet

BTW - I hope Dan isn't busy tommorrow and his PM box is empty cause I have ALOT of questions.
Looks like I'll be borrowing a 70-200 f4L for the weekend and if its as good as they all say it is I'll want one. Dan, you said ordering through B&H expedited saves the border fees but not the taxes right?
Drives me nuts that I can buy it cheaper in the US.

How much was it BTW?Here's a sample pic I took. Nothing special, but gives you an idea of the fun you can have with depth of field on a 1.8 lens.

If you ship with UPS expedited, then you won't get hit for brokerage, because brokerage is built into the shipping fee. It's still possible that you get hit for tax though, but at least the tax will be on the far cheaper US price than what Henry's sells them for.

According to B&H shipping costs. Expedited is the cheapeast at $31. Does that make sense? And Henry's currently sells the lens for 799 - $100 Rebate which is still less than my cost.

I wanted the swizllers as the point of focus, with everything else blurred. I was pretty much just playing around. Another option would have been to increase the aperture slightly more and focus on the entire basket, while leaving the background blurred. Lots of "artistic" options available with this lens, which is what I like about it. Works great for portraits too, where you want your subject in focus but the background blurred.
