Downtown Tucson

Well, I had to spend the day in Tucson again, but had an hour or so left at the end of the day, and had remembered to bring my camera this time (although no tripod...). I walked around the downtown area and took a few pictures. Stapler, no excuses now!

Please, C+C welcome and desired:

County court house

Downtown radio tower

Doorway

Wall mural

Window?

Hotel Congress

Wall mural #2

"Chicago" is his name

Shops

The hunt...

The kill...

The Federal Building

Edit, not sure why these are so small.... Here is the gallery:

Nice walk-around series. The images all have nice colour and punch.

Actually I find this kind of strange, I was in Scottsdale yesterday getting my Mom's mini serviced. I had actually meant to stop and get pictures of your downtown, but got lost repeatedly on these things you city folk call highways.

They look great. I kinda expected to see our department of water building though, It's crazygonuts with patterns and curves. http://farm1.static.flickr.com/1/127...ad202106_b.jpg

Thanks Dan. They have very little, if any PP.

Like: the subject matter and the varied contrasting colors.

Dislike: the shadows, as they distract from what is meant to catch the eye.

Sometimes that setting sun is your friend.....sometimes its not

Thanks for the input! I agree, the shadows hurt, but you are right, sometimes sunset creates more problems that it solves. The only shadows I liked were in the last, of the geometric window openings. Added a different shape to the window.

I agree on the last one, it adds a Frank LLoyd Wright sorta feel to it when they are symetrical.

In that one, I actually wished they were MORE pronounced... Oh well, I will have to go back. Thanks for the comments and suggestions!
