canon 30d - how to select shooting in RAW format?
Hey,
Perhaps I am paranoid ... when I turned on my camera, I tried to change my settings from JPG format (L) to RAW format. HOWEVER ... when I went to the option menu, it only allowed me to shoot in JPG format.
I went to the manual and it said the RAW format option should be there. What's up?
Has this happened to anyone before? What do I do? (Too lazy to read the whole manual ...)

If it's like the RebelXT, you can only shoot in raw when you're in one of the "creative" modes: A-Dep, M, Av, Tv, or P. You can't use it with any of the modes where the camera sets the entire exposure for you. Do you know what mode your dial was set to?
