Weird.
The blacks look GREAT on my imac.
When I saw this picture last noight on my powerbook they were artifacting and blocky and looked very crushed.
Am I nuts, or did you go back in and redo the pic?

Here's how I set up the shot:
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/haycon/2423211048/" title="Camera shy - Setup by haycon, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2204/2423211048_b29566c068_o.jpg" width="1000" height="669" alt="Camera shy - Setup" /></a>
I didn't use my black backdrop so I went with a fast shutter speed to minimize ambient light and also to make the background as dark as possible. I did go in to photoshop and do some touch up around the edges though. If you import the photo in the Photoshop and raise the levels up really high, you can see my monitor in the background. That's what I Photoshoped out. Everything else was a result of strobe placement, strobe power and shutter speed. Once you get the hang of using strobes, its really fun. It's amazing what you can do. Just need some imagination.

Yeah I'm on it now...for some reason it can't handle the blacks from that image.
But the imac works great...might be a resolution thing.
So, AWESOME pic there Conrad.

I can see the blockiness just like you do.
I didn't see it at first, but after looking really close, I see it.

Thanks! I hope to make a bunch of photos like this. It's fun thinking of ideas. Sometimes it's difficult to turn the idea in to a photo that can properly / accurately portray the idea.
