Google Photo Sphere on the Galaxy Nexus, cool feature but really only works good when there aren't any vertical lines close to you (telephone wires, rails etc etc)

Here's a couple photos I've taken so far with my Nokia Lumia 920 all with default settings and flash off.

For those that don't know the image sensor and lenses are suspended in springs allowing you to capture smoother video and to keep the shutter open longer when shooting in low light conditions to capture more light. I'd say the whole camera package is about as thick as the iPhone 4, it's a big reason the phone is so thick.
I can say from experience that low light photos are drastically better than any other cameraphone on the market. The first three photos above are actually brighter than it was IRL. The downside is that you can get motion blur if the subject moves because the shutter is open longer.
There are a couple of pro camera apps that just hit the windows store that I might give a shot but, the built in app allows you to adjust scenes (including macro), white balance, exposure(1/3rds steps from +2 to -2), ISO, and aspect ratio.
