Bought the 70-200F4L

What a lens!

For the money it seems hard to beat. It is sharp, sharp, sharp and very complimentary to the weight and balance of my 1d.

Inside it is going to be useless without good light but I can deal with that.

I haven't even really done anything with it and I'm happy!

Congrats. Any of Canon's 70-200's are great. It's speed isn't neccessarily what will hold it back indoors, but its length might. Remember, that f4 is constant throughout its focal range. Your 1D should have excellent high ISO performance.

Yes, I shot a little with it indoors today and it wasn't terrible.

I'm more impressed with the build and feel. This is my first L and I can see how easy it is to get hooked.
