OK so i THINK I'm gettin the hang of this HDR stuff... MAYBE

Got my 19s put on today so i decided to spend the day trying out some spots and see what happened.

no photoshopping on these, just photmatix.

i see you went for the surreal look...

unless you're trying to overdo it, practice applying HDR techniques to a photo AND keeping it realistic looking...

some nice angles and background scenery, though...

Not true. My friend (mds82 on e90post) has an 06 325xi and we just installed H&R springs last week. He's riding on 19" Breytons. And he has a replica front lip (I forgot the brand), and Mtec rear bumper.

theres no way its happening on mine.

1. madison is POTHOLE nation as im sure most other citys are right now. the drop will make me bottom out.

2. in winter i need all the ground clearance i can get outta the car... nobody plows till like 2 days after it snows up here.

3. its leased so all my mods are removable and a front lip isn't a good idea in my opinion.

plus your buddies pics don't looked dropped to me, and i don't think mine looks too bad the way it is now.

Yeah those pics were taken a couple days before we installed the springs, he hasn't taken any newer ones that I know of yet.

High Dynamic Range Photography and bright sunlight rarely look right --- mainly because you've got so much light to begin with. Add to the list that you are working with a black car which is sucking up all of the available light.

Try shooting again at dusk or dawn and you will be amazed.

Best,

Before you stop modding, you should at least buy a set of Lux rings (replacement LED unit for your angel eyes).

HDR is amazing. There are a bunch of guys messing with that photmatrix program thingy on another forum I am on, and the pictures they are coming up with are really nice looking.

I think it looks cool, but a little too cooked in my opinion to be a convincing photograph. you can see these wierd shadows around the buildings in the background, which makes to very obvious that the image was messed with.

But still looks cool. makes you kind feel like this is how it would look if you were on drugs.

I'm the exact opposite, I find a lot of people that use Photomatix churn out the cartoonish look which i'm not so much a fan of. I think the HDR that comes out of CS3 is much better. To each their own however, nice 3, You should probably change your name TSX wisc badger. Maybe E90 wisc badger?

The ghosting around the edges of most objects looks awful.

It can look "cartoonish" or like a painting without those defects.
