Wow gorgeous pics Mizouse! It was truly magical when I saw them at AFB last time as well. #2 is definitely my favorite formation of the group!

no i didnt have an extender on my 70-200.

some of them are pretty heavily cropped.

I just noticed Jet #4 must have been undergoing maintenance as they were using the 2-seat Jet #7 in the formation.

yes i was going to say some of those (the first for sure) have to be 100% or close to 100% cropped...you look awfully close for 200mm...

What do you guys use for the focus setting for airshows?

AI, AI Servo, or just set to infinity?

i set it as AI servo, but i set the focus limiter on my 70-200 from 1.5m to infiniti to 3m to infiniti, pretty much so incase it went out of focus it wouldnt go too far.

hmm... guess i got lucky being that i went friday. the show got cancelled on saturday and afaik they ran a limited show today where they didnt do any high altitude stuff because of the clouds.

some of them were actually pretty close for 200mm. like #4 above, it wasnt cropped that much it was actually pretty close.

i wish i got the shot of one going at or close to mach 1.
