Anybody familiar with Polaroid instant cameras?

I'm a DSLR guy, but recently have the urge to get a Polaroid instant film camera just for fun, I figured it would be nice and fun to take some instant film pics every now and then (you keep what you take even the crappy pics, can't just hit the delete button, which is fun sometimes), esp since these days I never get photo on prints.

Does anybody have any suggestions for a decent Polaroid camera, whose film is not crazily expensive and relatively easy to find? I know they're stopping production, so I guess I need to stock up on the film if I get the camera.

I have one somewhere, but I dont see how you are going to be happy with a pic quality. Don't the have digi cams that have printers now?

edit:

or just get a cheap camera and a photo printer and print off everything. I think you be much happier than with the crappy Polaroid quality.

Yeah, the quality won’t be great, but I thought it would be fun to actually not have a choice of selecting what pictures to print. A lot of the times those bad mug-shot looking pictures are the pictures that are most memorable and a very life-like reflection of a time in your life. There’s also something special about the idea of seeing the picture develop right in front of you, kind of like a piece of memory forming right before you eyes, if you know what I mean..

totally understand your reasoning and I agree, I have about 10k photos and have probably printed off 100. That being said just from my experience, I'm not sure I'd got the Polaroid route. I mean if you are going to be using it for a few occasions I guess you could pick one up, but as a 'long term' solution, I'd look for something digital, or at least something that is still being produced.
