I might even play around with a tighter crop to get rid of the fabric top and right.

Chris that's a really nice shot of the child on the bridge. The level of bokeh is awesome.

Shooting kids is difficult because they're usually in their own little world.

No its not. And I refuse to go in to any further as that would be helping this pile of crap.

But if you can't see why its not a good shot...you should practice some more, too.

This is a shot of Jason's gear that hasn't been worth a fuck in years because he never posts any of the photos he takes with the D300.

Nice shots, Eric.

Here's one I made B&W for this thread from the Railroad Museum in Miami.

This was just a quick snap as we were being escorted out of Arlington National Cemetary. But I couldn't help but be moved.

Fantastic! I loved that place...it was kinda eery, obviously silent...and it started POURING rain...had to strip down and wring all our clothes out in the underground garage before getting back in the rental car. Phenomenal time!

Not B&W but pertinent

Was at Arlington Park and I agree it`s a somber place to be in. During the changing of the guards a couple ladies were chatting it up. The guard stopped his routine and asked that the ladies "Observe Quiet and Respect" while they are at the cemetery. Most of us standing there including one of there husbands just blankly stared at them as to say what are you thinking. They weren`t. Thinking. That Is.

I forgot to give people a heads-up in the C&P Random thread about an event that happened at the Freer gallery in DC this past weekend. It was a pretty interesting talk about Magnum photographer Ara Güler's B&W photography of Istambul. The whole talk was about B&W photography not just by Güler, but others as well. It was pretty interesting hearing about how people like magazine photo editors go about deciding when to use color vs. BW.

This thread = B+W discussion (good and bad).

All other, elsewhere.
