** AcuraZine Photo Contest #10 **
Posting this well in advance just to increase awareness and give everyone ample opportunity to think about the project, develop/cultivate ideas, and come up with a product. Looking forward to seeing many entries on this one. Let's see what you can come up with! Let yourself go!
The theme of this contest is "Architectural Abstraction" - as chosen by srika.
The rules for this contest are as follows:
- Any interpretation of the theme that falls within AcuraZine rules is welcome.
- You must be the person that took the photo.
- Try your best to use a *NEW* photo (ideally, that you are taking FOR this contest).
- Previous photos, while discouraged, are acceptable (as long as you are the one that captured the image).
- One submission per contest.
- Images must be no larger than 800px in any direction. Links to larger images are allowed but you must have one that is under 800px for the poll.
- All contestants must host their own pictures.
- All pictures must have a title.
- While post processing in photoshop is allowed, adding or removing parts of the picture is not. In the event a photo is suspected to be "photochopped" the contestant will be asked to provide the original picture.
Timeline and poll info:
Entries must be submitted to this thread no later than Wednesday, January 31st 2007 @ 4:59pm CST.
The poll will start on Wednesday, February 1st 2007 @ 5pm CST and will allow again for multiple votes.
The poll will close on Wednesday, February 8th 2007 @ 5pm CST.
In the event of a tie, we will have a lightning round of voting from 5:01 to 12:00pm CST where people get one vote.
As always, the contest winner gets to choose the theme for the next contest and the honor of creating the thread for it. They will also be recorded in the official "AcuraZine Photo Contest Hall of Fame" thread.

love it dawg. I had to sit and think for a minute about what I was looking at - I mean I figured it was the Arch, but even knowing that it still looked odd, because it looked like the corner of a building - my mind didn't register the sky in between because it looked like a reflection. BEAUTY.

Symbol of War, Victory, Arrogance and Peace
Taken with Cannon IXY Digital 500 (Compact Digital Camera) at Trafalgar Square. Didnt have a good camera at the moment..
You can see the pigeon (dove) - Symbol of peace - flying above Trafalgar Square which commemorates the victory on Battle of Trafalgar.
Also, see the larger version at

we want to see your best effort - if you think you've taken a picture thats better, sure, swing it by. I think someone did that already in here anyhow.

I plan on having a submission in the next couple of days. I took several shots in and around London with this contest in mind. Just need to shift through, make some tweaks and decide which to enter.
