Did he post the image pre-processing? I more curious in that because I guess he enhanced the background being out of focus.

The a7r is that sony camera that makes curious again...but I still won't give them money based on their idiot lens decisions.

it's 135mm f1.8 @f1.8 on a FF, I'm pretty sure that's how it looks, but I'll ask him

no Ken, I don't hate Sony. You take things much too literally.

I do not like certain things about them, and as lenses are the biggest part of any camera system...Yeah I take issue with still line of E-mounts.

Last two comments I made in the Sony thread, if I recall, were in regards to their lenses. The first one being back in May when I had a debate with Sony reps who could give no clear answers but sure wanted to run in circles.

Sony is a love/hate relationship...they come out with some great image capturing devices (cinematography and stills) and then the next generation they shoot themselves in the foot...and so on and so forth. And do not forget my view extends beyond just their still photography.

Their constant implementation of un-needed proprietary gack...and their willingness to come out with a product, make promises in regards to that product and then more or less drop support for that product in less than a year is un-nerving.

So, I have issues with them, valid ones. But I don't hate them as I still pro-actively use some their equipment. I recently shot B-Roll for a CBS special, in tandem with interview footage I did with my D800, where I requested a Sony EX3...right tool for that job and a great camera.

From NASA Facebook page:

This long-exposure Hubble Space Telescope image of massive galaxy cluster Abell 2744 (foreground) is the deepest ever made of any cluster of galaxies. It shows some of the faintest and youngest galaxies ever detected in space. Abell 2744 is a massive galaxy cluster located in the constellation Sculptor. The immense gravity in Abell 2744 is being used as a lens to warp space and brighten and magnify images of more distant background galaxies. The more distant galaxies appear as they did longer than 12 billion years ago, not long after the big bang. The Hubble exposure reveals nearly 3,000 of these background galaxies interleaved with images of hundreds of foreground galaxies in the cluster.

NASA's Hubble Space Telescope is providing a new perspective on the remote universe, including new views of young and distant galaxies bursting with stars. Scientists described the findings Tuesday in a news conference sponsored by the American Astronomical Society (AAS).

A Photographer Hurled Water Balloons At Intimidating Bald Men. The Results Are Amazing

Professional photographer Tim Tadder gathered a bunch of awesome bald men and hurled water balloons at their heads capturing the explosion of water at various intervals. He named this project, "Water Wigs."

Tim Tadder Photography / timtadder.com
Using a laser and sound trigger to capture the right moments for each subject, he created just the right head of hair that fit best with each face.

Tim Tadder Photography / timtadder.com
He chose to work with triads of colors to create images that are arresting and amusing at the same time.

Tim Tadder Photography / timtadder.com
It's a mix of fun, technical and complex.

This photo was critically acclaimed in Greece and Europe. One because wild horses were spotted in Northern Greece for the first time since Ancient times.
