Do you know if the aem v2 is carb legal in ca for us, as I see in many pictures as it leaves a hose connection open and I don't think that will pass in CA
Also dose anyone know if the j pipe is carb legal for ca

I've passed smog with the Accord V2. It had the carb sticker on it. As long as the smog places see that it'll be good- and no check engine light. They would have to fully research if that carb sticker was assigned to TLs but I don't think they have the time. That hole you're referring to is the plug for IAT. It comes with a screw to plug if you don't want to use it. I also have the ATLP J pipe and 3rd cat. J pipe doesn't look that different from stock.
I have my sticker on the v2 but I'm hoping they don't look it up. I gotta go this month for my first one and hope all my high flow cats and v2 pass...I know they will data wise but worried about the visual
Let us know how it goes. I'm thinking about getting some high flow cats too. I've been thru 2 smog checks , first one glanced at the sticker and the other time they just wrote the # on my receipt .

Cool thanks, I thought all CAI that had a inlet on them had to be connected. Did not think they could just be plugged. So the J pipe does not create a CEL. What J pipe are you running?

So were is everyone located so I know where to hit up for smogs. Also wre do the o2 sensors plug in on our cars? Just the exhaust or on the j pipe? I am thinking of doing xler8 j pipe and exhaust, but want to make sure there is no cel
The O2 sensors are on your catalytic converters. None are on the j-pipe or exhaust. You will not get any cel with just the j-pipe and exhaust. So you're good.
Also if you're looking to put in the AEM V2 for performance, I'm hearing it does nothing to our cars, as the stock air box is pretty efficient. So it's a waste of money. But if all you want is the sound, then by all means.
Haha it's a long story, full details here:

Cliff notes version:
- My tune made me a gross polluter...return your ECU to stock if you're tuned
- I believe I would have passed easily with HFPCs, but I returned precats to stock not knowing my tune was the cause
- none of the six smog shops I went to (yes I had to go to smog six times) had issues with the aem v2, they saw there was a carb sticker and didn't look it up. Make sure you have the sticker on there. Shops included both star and non star certified places
No one cared about my jpipe and I also passed visual and sniffer with high flow third cat

The AEM V2 intake won't pass smog because its not for the TL, its made for the Accord. The CARB number is for the Accord. The J-Pipe should pass as long as you didn't get the j-pipe that eliminates the 3rd cat.
