Your thoughts on the 300C
I've seen commercials on it and the spokesman said, "it will def turn heads".
Your thoughts on the Chrysler 300c?

Looked good the first time I saw one but now that I see 2 or 3 a day it doesn't impress me anymore. It will be typical Chrysler crap that falls apart after 2 years.

Having owned a Chrysler before, I can honestly say that the cars are built like crap. However, I'm impressed with the 300C in appearance and that monster Hemi motor. If they could figure out a way to improve the build quality, especially the electronic gremlins, the whole car would be a better package.
I think that the Dodge Magnum is an equally impressive and much more practical package. I think that'd be fun to own as a road trip car.

I like it. I like the big chunky profile and squared off overall look. The interior is pretty impressive in terms of design (love the tortoise shell trim), but the feel of materials let it down. I have no idea why the domestics can't seem to get a grip on soft touch materials. Hollow sounding plastic in most places.

I just passed one on the highway yesterday and got a good look from all angles. In photos I thought with all those big flat panels and small windows it looks huge, but in real life it's not bad much more proportional than some photos would lead you to believe.
Definately aimed toward those with American tastes. On paper it's pretty similar to the likes of the Lincoln LS and with emphasis on the angles it reminded me of the CTS from the back.
The grill looks like it will fall off first time someone backs into you parking. And you would have to love American Muscle (Hemi) to put up with the risk of buying a Chrysler and dealing with their reliability and build quality.

Chrysler can't seem to come up with good and innovative modern designs. It keeps going back to old styles. Also, Its Dodge division of cars all look alike and look ugly.
I wonder who's going to spend $35K on a high end Chrysler. For that money, there are so many other great choices. I guess there are plenty of uninformed people who will buy after they saw the commercials.

anyone else notice that none of the ads for the 300 show the rear end much, if at all? I like the front end and side profile looks, but that rear end looks so bland and out of place for the car.
I for one, think that Chrylser's exterior designs are the least of their problems. Hell, if the Sebring sedan had a Honda or Toyota badge on it, it'll probably sell like hot cakes.

Does anyone else that has seen one in person think that the tail lights look really cheap? I don't know who's doing their plastics but it didn't have a quality look to me. I don't know why it stood out but it did.

If the Sebring sedan had a Honda/Toyota badge on it, it would probably be more reliable/better made.

I'm really frustrated by Chrysler. I think their exterior designs are excellent (I think the Intrepid is one of the best looking 4-door sedans in the history of the world, but that's just me) and they have the fortitude to really take chances with things like the Viper, Prowler, PT Cruiser, and now the 300C & Magnum. But their interiors and overall execution and quality still stinks. How they can be so good at the design and fail so miserably to follow through is a complete mystery. Heck, if they could even manage Ford levels of interiors and build quality they'd be worth looking at. As it is, I'm just plain scared of buying any Chrysler product and that's a real shame. I want to really like Chrysler, but I just can't.
I have a friend who's a real Chrysler nut, loves his Chrysler minivans. He's perfectly OK with the fact that his past two have needed replacing at only 100,000Km due to blown engines (not to mention they are terrible rattletraps from the get-go). He just buys another one. I really don't get that.
Perhaps it's deliberate; maybe Chrysler only builds cars as good as they need to and no better.

but guess what guys, I think the 300c is a direct ripoff of the Infiniti M45. The M45 came out a while ago with the same concept, big blocky design with a V8 and RWD. They're both around the same price too actaully, my co worker just bought one for 38k. He got like 9k off of sticker lol. If I had to choose between the M45 or the 300c, I take the M anyday. But since I don't have to choose those two, I'll just stick with my TSX w00t w00t!

I didn't care much for it at first, but seeing the cars in the real world, I like it. It has a real presence on the road, without being a pig SUV, and it seems like road presence had a lot to do with why people went for SUV's.
BMW says you will get used to their styling and others will follow. Its still not working for me. I think from a styling view, the 300c is a more important car than either the 5, 7, or 6 series.
The 300 c may be the first post-modern car. I don't think it is retro, because I don't see it referencing any particular previous design. I think this is more likely to be followed than the BMW's.
(OTOH I have gotten into trouble before slinging terms like "post-modern", and the 300c could be another Chrysler design that looks interesting for 15 minutes. Check back with me in 15. )

I think Lung pretty much sums it up. You could get the 6, which would probably do well, but with a bulky car like that, it would be working overtime. Paying over 30k for a Chrysler sedan seems kinda ridiculous.
I like the cylinder shut off option, that's pretty cool... if it works without problems, that is.
Junkster, who wouldn't buy one.

The front is okay and a lot of technology and research went into the car, which is cool, but what gives with the rear? Did they just forget or run out of money when designing it?
Design Mgr : "Okay, here's what I want. Brakelight, 6 feet of blank space, brakelight"
Design peon : "You got it boss"
*Also notice that none of the brochure or car mag pics show the back (not that I have seen anyway)

Think the tailights are fine, whats bad is when companies feel the need to overdo the rear of the car. As far as sales, the car is doing great and its easy to see why, bold looks with big power available.
