TSX in this month's MAXIM

P. 122, check it out...

featured as one of Maxim's "All-Stars" for 2004, calling it "A status symbol for guys on a budget."

I think that comment is pretty much on point.

Actually I'd rather they lost the "on a budget" part -- but we'll take it, huh?

ah, its Maxim, par for the course. I mean, who isn't on some sort of budget? (even if your car budget is 50k)

As for the status symbol, it sounds pretty superficial - they should lose that part instead.

That's right. I mean, I'm not on a budget, but if I don't get on one soon, I will be.

Maxim's thing was really stupid, although I guess we'll take anything that is intended as praise. Like Dabuda said, $26K-29K isn't really "budget," not in the sense Maxim was saying. I'd have to say it was a euphemism/code for "downscale," maybe even "poor" -- so I say to them --

Hmmm. For some reason I think Pam Anderson would be more appropriate for large-displacement cars.

Let us all be the judges of that. Could someone please post scans of the whole issue of Maxim? You can skip the stories if you want to save some bandwidth.

Once again, I agree with you. However, the TSX is a status symbol to old-riced-out Integra owners.

i sincerely hope those people will stay away from the TSX..any rice or altezza attempts and the car is ruined.... i'm glad to not have seen any riced out TSX yet..but i know its a matter of time before i see one with enough vinyl stickers on it to stretch around the world.

You guys ever noticed the cars and clothes they pimp? It's an image thing: they want to present themselves as a magazine for high-rollers, even if most of their target demographic couldn't afford one of those $500 shirts, much less a whole wardrobe. Makes their readers feel like they're associating themselves with class.

That said, I'm a reader (free subscription).

For once I agree with you gilbo.

Unfortunately I have seen a riced out TSX. It made me sick to my stomach.
