Brakes from the RSX? You'd think they'd put bigger and better. My brakes feel like they could be more powerful...I want a big brake kit but i'll have to go bankrupt!!!!!!!

Honda is now in my mind anyway known for underbraking their cars?? Thee only Honda I can see that had excellent brakes is the S2000.

This issue also did a review of over 200 wheels.
They list the weight for each one.

If there's interest, I'll scan and post.

Decent enough review. I like the brakes alot. They seem very good to me, but I don't have much experience driving newer cars in TSX's class. I moved up to this from a 91 Civic.

I love the brakes - solid! In comparison to my 01 Accord, much better!

Pretty funny review, but expected from the hard core SCC crowd. Afterall, how can they push all the "mods" if the car is already "perfect" I was amused that after bashing the performance at the limit (9/10's) they come back at the end and praise the car. The review left me confused

Whew, good thing I don't fall into the "enthusiast" crowd.

Ah, so the torque peak is pretty much where Honda said it was after all (RPM wise)...

just eyeballing looks to me like the bump at 2700rpms is a bit higher than the one at 4500..also looks like hp rating at 7300rpm is just a tad over 6800. Maybe they just tagged the mfrs. rated torque and hp peaks.

I just knew I'd smoke you out with that one. And it didn't even take an hour...

I dunno about the graph. The fact they quoted it at 4700 doesn't match what Acura says...

Here we go again...

I think what's most significant is that dyno testing (on different dynos) has shown 150+ lb/ft at the wheels from ~2500 to ~4500. What other N/A four can give you that (and still have some top end)?

Yeah, that confused me too. I mean, sure I'd like my suspension a little firmer, and I will make it so eventually. But I think it's pretty darn stiff for a stock setup.

Nah, I was just razzing Tinky. No need to rehash.

I certainly can't argue with your latter point either, although it gets much more interesting if the N/A requirement is tossed.

I agree with rb1 here. While in the past turbos have been less reliable I think the advancedment of manufacturing and electronics turbo systems have become a very viable alternative to large displacements.

Bear in mind this is SCC. They like Evos, STis, chipped WRXs, turboed Integras, etc. In light of the magazine's preferences I thought the review was pretty good.
