Is the price the same for the 6 speed? No one's made any comment on that. I though with the LSD and Brembo's it might be a little more?

We got one today too. Anthracite with Quartz! It is alot nicer and better looking in person then any of the pictures I have seen. The price will go up 45 bucks after the new destination fee of $545 goes into effect tomorrow.

Once they are done with the PDI I'll take it for a spin around town.


I'm pretty sure the MT is the same price as the AT, even though the MT has the LSD and the Brembo's.


Edit: We have 5, one white, one silver, one black, one base anthracite and one Navi anthracite.

I just took one for a spin and they are Sick! The car has got it all when it comes to performance. I have a few small gripes but I'll see what I think after a longer time behind the wheel.

Its dark outside at the moment and I have to go to Atlanta tomorrow for the TL ride and drive so it might not be til Friday until I can take some pictures. It looks really sharp in white.

 

I live in socal and called a couple of dealers. They all said that they don't have one yet. Do you mind sharing the info?

Sorry to keep beating this, put can you check the DVD video functionality, or probably lack thereof, maybe the prodcution car is different...

btw, Edmunds disregarded my email...

 

No DVD video, never thought that had a chance. Cost would go way up on a Navi screen with that kind of resolution and color output.

2k4Tl, your dealer contact now says that they will have the cars in two weeks and not 44. more like 15..

BTW: there is one dealer I know of in the SF Bay Area that has the car already! They do not have a Navi, and said that you cannot test drive it until friday.

 

Well finally saw and drove one! Very damn nice. It was one with the nav and I must say the nav screen/display is much better then the non navi unit! I would get the navi model even if I wasnt going to use it. It makes the interior of the car much more plush--upscale I say! It rode and drove very well, very quite inside.

Has anyone tried the horn??? My wife beeped the horn and I about crapped my pants---it was soooooo loud inside I thought the horn was in the front seat?? Thats all I didnt like about the car!

 

i think the 44 they quoted was the total number coming in between now and end of year.

you had a dealer in rwc you thought well of? want to pass on the sales guy's name?

The white is very nice. I like the white and the carbon the best on the tsx. I would say for now the new blue/qz and the white/pa would be my best pick. Still need to see the Anthracite to be sure. That was my 03 tl pick.

 

Just got a couple of green ones here at my store as well. I must say they are beautiful! What a pleasant surprise. We weren't expecting it to big a big seller considering the color it replaced (Noble), but I bet it will make it into the top three.

 

Anybody want night time pics of the cars? If yes I need to grab the camera before they lock up for the night.

I got a Anthracite A/T Navi car arrived this morning. It looks very sweet.

 

No picture I have seen does anthracite justice. In person it's just stunning!

 

I second that. The anthracite looked great today.

 

Anyway to take a few pics of the green? I really like the green too and I think it will kind of be the sleeper color for the TL. Which interior color do you have with the green? I am intrigued by the green/camel combo.

 

Believe me, you don't ever want to be downwind of a green camel.

 

Cars can't be release to the public till 10/6th. And at least 3 must be at the dealer till 10/22nd.

Just sat in the car and listerned to the DVD audio..... it's unreal. It looks so cool at night with all those blue lights inside...I thought I was sitting in a damn space ship. Going out for a cruise be back later.

 

Just got back from a 20 mins drive thru the local streets and 5 freeway. The AT is still probably a little softer than I like when going over bumps, im sure the Apec will take care of that. Thre is now a D gear and a L gear...the L gear is for more aggressive driving because it holds the gears all the way up to redline. Cruising at 70mph/2000rpms, 75mph/2150rpms.

All the gauges and controls are illuminated including steering whl controls, memo icons on dr, lock/unlock buttons and controls on roof panel.

The sound system is amazing. The display looks a little plain without the nav screen. Listern to XM radio and you will never go back to FM again.

Drove the 04TL, 03TLS and TSX back to back to back. As I said before the 04TL drives very similiar to the TSX and nothing like the 03TL. The rush of power will bring a smile to your face. Torque steer is not a factor. I feel strongly the 04TL with either the upgraded tires or Aspec pkg will be able to handle, if not out handle the TSX on the twisties.

Go out to your local dealer on the 6th and drive the Acura you won't be disappointed.

Last thing somebody was trying to show me up at the light in their new IS300. Saw the tags still on the windshield. Im sure he enjoyed looking at the rear LEDs of the TL. TinkySD can tell you guys how I can drive. Poor guy...hope he got his IS at a good price.

2k4tl - LOL so hard I :'( (Green Camel)

 

My dealer said the same thing. There is a launch party on the 22nd, and they must have cars on lot for that party. There is going to be live bands, food.... Just sell me the car!!!!

 

Does anyone have any ideas on how much the A-spec will cost? I'd hate to think of that cost on top of the $2k for the navigation. We're probably talking close to 40k, right?
