TL Impressions

I think the new TL is hot especially the A-spec version in black, but I don't like the backend too much. Is it just me or are the tailights too plain, unlike the TSX and why are the dual exhaust pipes triangle and not round? If the TL started at $30K I would've bought it instead of the TSX.

I acutally like the rear end, it's the front end that needs to be reworked--I just wish the front grill wasnt too pointy towards the bottom. If the grill was something similar to this MB grill http://www.benzworld.org/ (first pic on their concept SUV/wagon), then it would be tops.

the tail lights do look sort of plain...in pictures. in person, they are much more detailed and sophisticated, imo

that's why honda/acura should come up with better designs for their cars, they're all too conservative looking unlike what nissan/infiniti are doing.

Only car i like from infiniti/nissan is the g35 I think the rest are pretty much design nightmares. If the tsx and tl are acura's plain jane styling i say keep it up.

Maxima = oh sweet god that is horrible
Altima = just a mini nasty maxima

i was able to test drive a TL today because they gave it to me as a loaner while the Tsx was getting a paint shield and I like the power, kind of a bigger and fatter Tsx, but I felt like the sportiness and fun weren't there compared to driving the Tsx. Don't know about you, but I felt like an old man driving in the TL, felt like I was in a Lincoln Town Car.

I think the TL would have looked alot better if it had front end from its early concept pics. check it out here:http://a332.g.akamai.net/f/332/936/1...pt.f34.500.jpg Can somone post a side by side comparision with the pic from above and the offical TL?

It IS the same front end...

The only difference between this and the production units is that on the production cars, the ugly big open gap (on the prototype) below the Grill has been filled in by the ABS plastic of the bumper. IMHO it looks SO much better this way. See no other differences.

I love the way the TL looks as is. I hate the kitsch A-Concept.

The difference in price is much higher in USA than in Canada. Here it is only 60000$CAD (4500$US) more .

I don't like the TL's LED tallights that much, I would like to see amber turn signals in them, can they be LED too? I like how Cadillac has LED taillights on the Deville...the whole light flares up when the car brakes, you actually don't see the individual LED lenses like you do in the TL and G35. I also like the honeycomb look on the BMW 7-Series's LED taillights.

....Priceless

The ability to make (or recieve) a phone call on the integrated Hands Free system EVEN when you have left your phone in your golf bag (after carrying it with me for a round). Heading back home the other night I realilized that my phone was still in my golf bag. It's pretty easy to do since the last thing anyone is thinking about after a round of golf is where exactly their cell phone is). I've done this a number of times in the past and have gotten use to stopping on the side of the road somewhere while I dig in the trunk to get it out to make a call. Of course, this time it was raining so I start to head to a sheltered area for the traditional dig when I realized that the Phone emblem in the dash is lite up. Doah! Of COURSE it is...The phone is still in the car...Hooray!!!! No more stopping. Just press the voice activation and say "Dial Home"! ...Priceless!!!

That's because Honda/Acura have to adjust their price to the market - note that Honda does not support its warranty in the USA for a CDN car - some extraordinary cases like myself who used to live in CDN and moved my car to the USA could make a case with Honda but they are really trying to put a stop to the traffic of CDN cars - all Hondas are priced lower than their equivalent US$ price - to the USA. I actually considered buying my TL in BC and moving it to Socal but the price diff. is just not worth the inconvenience. I don't want to fight Acura for warranty issues either when the time comes.

Couldn't agree more! And the G35 is only nice in the coupe - who wants to be caught dead in a 4 door G35 Aaaark!!

get navi man, it is a great gadget to use and get it or else you will regret it when u get the non-navi and said oh dang, i should've gotten it with a navi. plus, doesn't having a navi help in resale value too?

I have no patience......which is a fault. I think I will call them again. If he has caller id, he might not answer. They have A silver one in stock no wait, but I just got out of a silver car. I wanted a change....but silver looks hot.....but I know it might get common.

I think they had black, but my car is parked outside all the time. I am really anal about swirl marks. the anthacite had to be sent from another dealer...it had 150 mi on it, and they weren't gonna take any $ off. silver is there in stock. I am gonna think about it real hard tonight. I loved my silver 330, but every one had one. i didn't want that this time around.
