Following the recent Earth Liberation Front attacks on sport/utility vehicles at several California dealerships, the Sport Utility Vehicle Owners of America organization is petitioning anti-SUV activists, urging them to cool the inflammatory rhetoric.
The petitions signed by 6065 SUV supporters were sent to Arianna Huffington, the activist behind the anti-SUV Detroit Project; Robert Kennedy Jr. of the Natural Resources Defense Council; and the Rev. Jim Ball, the leader of the “What Would Jesus Drive? campaign.

SUVOA members say pollutants from vehicles burned in the Aug. 22 ELF attack caused more environmental damage than the emissions the vehicles would have produced in a lifetime of driving.

Along the same lines....the most polluting car you can buy is a Saturn. The plastic they are made from take a lot of energy to build and is difficult to recycle later.

They never think about anything . . . . you have to have a brain to think things through to do that.

By the way, my 4Runner gets 17MPG as a daily driver and 22MPG on highway trips. That's as good or better than some luxery sedans.
