The GT350 is one hell of a deal.
For comparison sake, the '13 GT500 was $65k loaded. I believe a loaded R is $67k. The difference is the GT350R isnt a one trick pony (it can go fast around the curves).

But at $50k (after GG tax), you won't find a more bad ass car. 6 piston front, 4 piston rear two piece all around rotors, cloth recaros, 529hp flat plane crank motor! Theres been reports that the regular GT350 is faster than a C7 Stingray w/z51 package (handling package for the vette). The base vette with a z51 package is $61k.
