replacing CF with wood
A while back a member mentioned that when he bought the car he had the dealer swap out the carbon fiber in exchange for the wood pieces. Will that member please step forward. How is it? did the dealer charge you? Would it be possible to get some pics? Thanks

I agree that replacing the carbon fiber pieces would be prohibitive, but there are several companies that make fake wood and some that make real wood "kits" for the interior. One company that is big is www.bitrim.com. They make kits for the old TL and they will likely have one for the 04 soon. I haven't seen these in person, but I think some of the dealers buy them to add on to there cars. I saw a kit in a G35 that could have been one of these. I am considering this for my TL.
