Hunh... after doing a double take, it looks like there's some sort of aero kit on some of them. I much prefer the rear end on that silver one on this same page, but that's a damn impressive time.

The 887-hp supercar was equipped with the optional “Weissach Package” that sheds of some interior amenities and adds some lightweight carbon-fiber parts, magnesium wheels, flame-resistant upholstery, racing belts and aerodynamic aids for buyers who hope to be on the racetrack more than the road.

what's striking about this video is how undramatic it is.

This is total bullshit. He never once spun out hitting the rumble strips and never got airborne and launched into the guard rail. And the sun didn't blind him.

How I feel every time I drive that course in GT5

well my statement about how undramatic it is has about 80% to do with the driver, and 20% to do with the car. I would say.

There is one dramatic part, at 7:17, where he has does a lightning-quick counter-steer or else he would would have lost it. It's so quick it's easy to miss.

Other than that, compared to my driving in GT5 this seems like he's driving at 8/10th. I noticed he brakes earlier than me, seems to step on the gas at about the same time, and there's absolutely no tire squeal.

I just finished the 4 hours of Nurburgring last night (in an Aventador) so it's still fresh in my head.

4 hours you sir are insane.

there are several moments like that with quick twitches of the wheel - but he does it so well that overall it still looks smooth. pretty crazy.

Haha. I only played about 45 min a day over a few days, if it wasn't for that suspend feature there's no way I would do any of the Endurance stuff. Also the 'ring is great for this because you never get sick of driving on it.

And you get a crazy amount of experience points, I'm at 36 or 37 A-Spec and I got about 3/4 of a level worth just from that race, any other race now barely registers on the scale.

Can't wait to play this car in GT6. Oh wait, it's a Porsche...

oh. you made it sound like you raced 4 hours straight.

still, an accomplishment in it's own right.

I had configured the 918 spyder couple days back and was stunned coz they wanted 63,000 USD for paint....

also 32,000 for magnesium rims (very lightweight but still 32,000 USD )

With cars in this category: if you wanna play, you gotta pay. Nothing is cheap with the exotics.

Well, except lying about owning one.

I understand....hence am not complaining at the 850,000 price tag....

but 63,000 for a paint job seemed a little steep for paint....fuq you can almost get a stock GT3 if you dont opt for paint and rims
