04TL Silver/Quartz w/ Navi AT
I agree about Navi. It's an irresistable toy which is just the opposite of what I was saying before I saw the Non-nav configuration. As for silver and quartz the silver is easy to keep clean, relatively cool in the summertime and a bit easier for other drivers to see at night. Quartz is nice because it's the only interior color that brightens up the cabin without introducing yellow or orange. Black interiors may be dramatic but they're also hotter and obscure some of the interior shapes and textures.

Abyss Bliss
Going on my 4th week with an Abyss Blue/Quartz/AT/Navi, and almost 1000 miles. Loving every minute of it so far. I chose the color solely on aesthetics...did not think about any practicalities of the color. To me...if you love your car you will do what it takes to keep it in tip-top shape, not hide its dirtiness in the color.

Leased a white diamond pearl/parchment/no-navi on 10/11/03. So far it is great, love the XM radio, interior and exterior. It gets a lot of looks. A guy in a minivan pulled next to me in a parking lot and said that is a beautiful car - what is it? My previous was a 2001 CL-S.

DMM/Parch/5AT/Navi. Going on about three weeks with 1800+ miles (bought in Dallas..live in Denver)
Color is easy to care for...doesn't show chips and scratches as much as others IMO.
Only issue is occassional rattles from front middle speaker and one from somewhere in the neighborhood of the glovebox.
I do miss rain-sensing wipers...had those on the '03 MDX and found them very useful.

I finally settled on the SSM/Ebony 5AT non-Nav.
I agonized over the Navigation system. I would love to have it but I spend 90% of my time in around my new hometown and it does not have coverage. Acura took a long time and in the end all they could tell me was that despite the digitized mapping being ready to go I won't have it in my TL for at least a year. I asked "could it be 5 years?" "I can't say" was the reply. So, I will get it on the next one. I hope I get use to that dash with the big @$$ read out. Maybe my wife will do something with wallpaper border or something - she's just amazing with that stuff.
Anyway, my change of heart from the Navi cost me a month on delivery, aaaaaarrrrgggghhh. So, I will continue to read about my coveted TL here.
I really want to thank a lot of you good folks on this board. After hanging out here for a couple months I certainly feel alot more confident with my purchase.

Had the Abyss Blue with Camel for three weeks and love it. I have about 600 miles and have had no rattles. I knew the color would be tough to keep clean, but it just forces me to wash it weekly. I'm especially impressed with the acceleration and the XM radio.

edit: I'm at the dealership now on their courtesy computer while waiting for the car. Nice to see you, Peter!

SSM/Quartz/5AT/Navi
Nice to see you too Ryan! I hope everything worked out alright.
The car is great except that I am so overloaded with information on how to operate the dozens of features that were absent in my old Buick. The smoothness of the engine at idle is amazing. And best of all we did manage to get our Navi system before the factory ran short. The only thing that I'm getting used to is the rather large amount of foot pressure that the accelerator pedal requires. That's pretty minor considering how many good impressions I have of the TL's design.

it was a fun day, that's for sure. Other than the initial test drive, I haven't driven our new TL yet, but I was able to spend several hours today playing with navi/dvd/xm/mid/etc. I have no idea how anyone could live without navigation (and I guess the unanticipated demand proves this). It's simply amazing! I already programmed the calendar to say "Happy Birthday!" on 11/13/04

My new TL is Silver/Quartz, Navi, and auto. I will have had it one week tomarrow.
Having now owned all three generations of the TL, I can say that the '04 is the best. It is a real head turner too. Love the way it drives. The Navi w/ voice recog is excellent. A lot of verbal commands to memorize but I'm up to it. All I need now is a bluetooth phone.

NBP/Ebony/5AT/NAVI - Picked up on 12/19/03. Now has 600miles! This car is GREAT! Moved from a Mercedes and could not be happier with the quality and value that's now going into these Acura cars. Absolutely stunning! Mfg 14467
