With the pace Hyundai is on, I was expecting the Tib to be another huge success for them, but it wouldn't surprise me if they kind of put it on the backburner and focused on their bread and butter... they can't do everything.

Hyundai needs the "Datsun 240Z" effect to take hold. Sure, their sedans and SUVs are fine, and the Tiburon is nice enough. But the Tibby is still an economy car-based coupe, whereas something more powerful and RWD would take the sports car market by storm
... just like Nissan did, before I was born.

R&T mag talks about Hyundai showing a "reworked" Tiburon at the LA Auto Show this fall with possibly, Ferrari 599 design queues. Revised suspension and cross-drilled rotors are expected. But in two years from now, a whole new Tiburon is expected with possibly RWD and a 300HP 3.8L V6. The competition here is the G35 Coupe. There are still talks about a FWD Tiburon with a 4 cylinder engine as base and a Turbo 4 as an option.

it's going to be the whole new design.
it needs to look aggressive and needs to be fast.
if hyundai can do that i think people will consider tibby seriously. i really think the new tibby might be the most important hyundai up to date. it doesn't have to sell alot. all hyundai has to is gain some 'respect' from young buyers like us.
and the v8 tibby might just do that. if it is hot with good perfomance, i really would consider buying hyundai. and of course, it has to be priced like hyundai.
