Mercedes-Benz Kleemann SL55K (Warning: LOTSA PICS)

So um...yeah. I like it. Lots And it has butterfly (lambo)doors I hear!

====================

2003 Kleemann SL55K

The Worlds leading supercharger specialist Kleemann from Denmark offered its own special supercharger system to upgrade the performance and smoothness of the works current convertible, the SL 55 AMG in September of 2002.

The aim at Kleemann was to create the worlds most powerful and at the same time for every day use driveable and long-lasting Mercedes-Benz car.

A more effective supercharger system is being used instead of the works unit (AMG).

The reason for this conversion is: the Kleemann system guarantees much lower intake air temperatures which result in a higher oxygen density and thus more power and torque.

Another side effect: lower intake air temperatures increase the engines durability caused by less thermal stress inside the engine.

The final result is a max. power of 640 hp at 6400 rpm and a maximum torque of 656 lb-ft between 2000 and 6500 rpm.

A stainless steel sports exhaust system composes an unforgetable V8 symphony you can listen to as long as there is petrol left to be burned.

Special Yokohama high performance tyres (AVS) are mounted to Kleemann 9,5 x 19 ET 22 front, 9,5 x 19 ET 13 rear light alloy wheels. The front axle is equipped with 255/35/ZR19, the rear axle with 285/30/ZR19 tyres to guarantee full driving satisfaction in corners and when accelerating (especially with the ESP switched off!)

This set of wheels gives space for compulsory Kleemann high efficiency brake system which guarantees perfect break performance at any time.

640HP, 4.5 secs for the 0-60. I mean what does it take to get into the 3s? 1000 HP? That auto tranny and the weight of the car just kills acceleration.

I wonder what would happen if this car were 700 pounds lighter and had a 6 speed manual.

Those 30-series tires wouldn't last five seconds on U.S. roads

A few things: In the pics they are normal doors, and in the pics the tires are Dunlop. The article says it has Yoko's, what gives?

How about this its gonna be wayyyyyyyy too expensive Probably about 20-50k depending on what parts of the whole package you put on...plus the 80k to buy the car from MB...

definitely needs to lose weight. The Ford GT got into the 3s with 'only' 500 hp.
