Mansory: DB11 Cyrus (based on Aston Martin DB11) News

Press release...

A power brimming engine packed into an exciting body design. The Bavarian based specialist for exclusive vehicle refinements Kourosh Mansory, once again refines an Aston Martin to become a spectacular eye catcher. After the DB9 the DB11 has now undergone an extensive complete individualisation called Cyrus.

Even in its basic version, the DB11 boasts impressive engine performance. However, the MANSORY engine department knows how to unlock a few extra power reserves in the Aston Martin V12 twin turbo engine. Part of the performance optimisation is a stainless steel sports exhaust system. When combined with a sports air filter, this is responsible for the powerful, throaty sound of the 5.2 litre engine. These components are precisely tuned to work together using a new mapping system for the engine electronics. With a peak output of 700 hp / 515 kW and a maximum torque of 850 Nm at 1,500 - 5,000 rpm, the MANSORY optimised engine meets up to the needs of its sports ambitious clientele. The uprated Coupé offers exquisite performance figures: The 2+2 seater needs just 3.6 seconds from 0-100 km/h and goes on to a top speed of 330 km/h, both making the Cyrus superior to its base model.

A striking appearance with sophisticated aerodynamics are added to the outstanding performance. The Cyrus front apron replaces the standard bumpers and reduces the lift on the front axle by means of its shape. Larger air intakes give the glossy racing green and silver painted car an even sportier character. In addition, the enlarged air intakes supply the engine with its increased demand for fresh air and then channel the air from the new spectacular design bonnet. Side skirts make the Cyrus look even lower and more stretched and are the perfect visual frame for the wheels.

In order to balance the output characteristics of the front and rear axles perfectly, MANSORY gives the Aston Martin a rear wing made of visible carbon fibre. The new rear apron also optimises the air flow under the car with the huge diffuser and makes room for four huge double exhaust pipes with a carbon covering.

As a perfect compromise between comfort and control, MANSORY uses 22 inch one piece, ultra light Yavin forged wheels. These are run at the front in 9.5x22 format with tyres sized 265/30 ZR22 and on the rear axle in 11x22 size with 315/25 ZR22 tyres.

The sports lowering springs were specially tailored to the needs of the Cyrus. Thanks to the progressively wound suspension springs, the centre of gravity can be lowered by up to 35 millimetres.

MANSORY has completely redesigned the interior and transforms the inside of the Cyrus into a VIP lounge with motorsport flair. The noblest, silver coloured leather with Alcantara applications, visible carbon fibre and decorative stitching replace the factory specifications. Illuminated door entry strips and the ergonomically redesigned airbag sports steering wheel complete the masterful modifications.

The chipped carbon instead of weave looks so good.

I prefer the weave to the 'marbled' look.
