A little "update" i found interesting...

This morning, as i ate my breakfast, i was reading the Money Sense page of the news paper. I came across an interesting article about quality of current car manufacturers. In this article, it stated japanese are currently number one while many american cars are up there as well. To many's surprise, german cars, the once most prestigous car to own (back in 1987 benz/audi when no one had them) is ranked at the absolute bottom.

The current leader in quality is lexus, because many of their cars have recieved top quality assurance by JD Power. I'm still a bit puzzled, but acura's quality wasn't as good as the new ford models for some reason... Acura scoring a 209 and Ford a 203 (average 237. + = bad/- = good). Even though they both do score good, numerous ford owned vehilces have recieve top quality assurance award, while acura has none at the moment. In essence, the NEW ford f-150 is one of the most reliable vehicles out there.

Just another example how hard it is to get accurate data on car reliability...

For example the new F-150 gets a poor (lowest rating) from Consumer Reports...

i dont really pay too much attention to these things because quality is opinion based. What ilitig8 said proves it, consumer reports and what ever news paper u got this info from are completely opposite on the quality of a single car imagine what they do to an entire company in the eyes of the public...
