LF-S is a design study for all future Lexus sedans (they are gonna start having some similar cues). It is not a particular model. The new IS and LS will follow some of the new GS cues....

Looking ahead to the August 2005 launch of the Lexus brand in Japan together with a nationwide dealership network, Toyota's two Lexus concept cars to be exhibited at this year's Tokyo Motor Show are realizations of a quest for the essence of luxury in every detail. They seek to provide a peak experience that satisfies the heart with exhilaration and comfort at every moment, while understanding and anticipating each individual userÍs constantly changing needs. These two cars are the LF-S, a next-generation sedan that expresses the Lexus brandÍs new conception of luxury, and the LF-X, an SUV-sports sedan crossover.
LF-S (LEXUS Future-Sedan)
The next-generation premium sedan LF-S embodies the Lexus brandÍs new conception of luxury.
V8 gasoline engine and high-output motor hybrid system 4WD (tentative)
Length: 4,910mm; width: 1,895mm; height: 1,345; seats 5
LF-X (LEXUS Future-crossover(x))
Crossover of SUV power and sports sedan refinement; concept for a new-generation of Lexus.
4.3-liter V8 gasoline engine, 4WD
Length: 4,935mm; width: 1,985mm; height: 1,645; seats 6
-----------------------
Sounds like two singular flagship products rather than a company concept and I hope they don't go for that one design in different sizes look that BMW used to have and Audi currently has.

man, i was just watching rides on TLC and they showed Rod Millen doing the sketches, concepts, and what they did in order to create the IS430. All they did though was swap the Gs430's V-8 engine into the Is300 and put a manual tranny from a Supra.
wish sometimes i could make figure 8's and squeal my tires on the Tsx like on other Rwd cars, but oh well.
after watching that show, gosh i want to start driving the Tsx quick, but i should avoid that since i'm on 90 day probation since i got a speeding ticket back in thanksgiving

You know what I would rather do for that kind of money? Well, I'm glad you asked:
1) Used 2003 350Z = $20K
2) Greddy Twin Turbo Kit = $7K
3) Greddy Turbo Intercooler = $2K
4) Nitrous Express 50 shot kit = $1K
5) Misc. Exhaust = $1K
6) Wheels and Tires = $3K
Total = $34K (retail) + labor (i.e. Me)
End result = 1/4 mile in 12sec.
If the turbo kit and car come down in price, I just may do it. Until then though, I think I'm going to learn to ride bikes. 0-60 in 4.5 seconds for $3K.

a lil bit OT but
here is the dyno video

This is a car with a GT30/40 trim turbo from turbochargers.com. The car also has an AGP exhuast manifold, tial bov/WG, PSI FI power paq (fuel computer/map clamp), and a return fuel system with an areomotive fuel pressure reg. and 3 inch turboback... other than that, the engine hasnt been touched one bit. It's owned by Stephen Anderson of Houston TX and tuned by me over at turbochargers.com
Just though I would share the good news - we're really excited to see where we'll be next month in the horsepower game.

Here's the low down, from valve cover to oil pan, we havent touched that engine. We have yet to even REMOVE the valve cover.
TC.C gt30/40 dual ball bearing turbo and MBC, psi fi (AFC/3barmap/map-clamp all in one), agp exh manifold and FMIC upgrade, 3 inch turboback, tial BOV/WG, autometer fuel pressure guage, walboro 255 lph pump with an areomotive fuel 1:1 rising fuel pressure reg. 550 injectors.... nothing more - nothing less, its all bolt on and its still cheaper than the STi, Evo8, or even the new evo RS.
25 PSI to redline on 105 unleaded with ONLY minor fuel tuning. 12-12.5 AFR
Steve issued the newest challenge to me: we're aiming for 600 in 3 weeks with cams, 800 cc injectors, speedpro F A S T, and a few more goodies.

that episode of Rides barely even touched on what they did to that car. all they did was give a brief idea of yanking the gs430 engine out and dropping it in the is300. then they said they had a bunch of computer stuff to rig up and suddenly it was done. maybe Lexus didn't want them to give away too much
Rod Millen did the conversion, he's got info about it on his side. pretty interesting

i really doubt this will end up in production. plus isn't the is300 scheduled for a re-design anyway?
those Speed Star SSR wheels are sweet. i wonder what they'd look like on a TSX..

That pic is totally photochopped. Kind of strange to have such a badly photochopped picture in a magazine. Look at the front grill to see what I mean
