Infiniti hits it big!!
Have you guys seen this car coming out. Check out the link .New Fuga
This looks absolutely gorgeous and should finally give infiniti some legs to work against the E class and 5 series, and probably steal some sales from the RL as well. It's called the Fuga right now but we will know it as the M35 and M45. They'll have two differnt engines too give a bigger price range. It'll probaly start out in the high 30's and will go to high 40's. Nicely done infiniti... Personally I'm a big infiniti fan so I may be a little biased. But overall its probably going to be a huge hit not only in credibility for infiniti but also in the $$$ arena. So, What do you guys think?

There's gotta be a reason Honda has basically decided to sit on there hands and allow Nissan to grab a huge portion of the market and become the second biggest auto manufactuer in Japan (in terms of volume) ahead of Honda.
Nissan was on the brink of death. Then the start churning out RWD platforms and powerful V6's along with the V8's Honda will never make and its almost like Honda's been caught standing still.
The only explanation I have for Honda lack of a response is I think they have a much much different philosophy when it comes to their product then anyone else does. They have at some point decided to not build a V8 and I guess concentrate on Hy-brid technology. The only problem I see with that now is Toyota's beating them to the punch there too.
Or maybe Honda just does'nt have the resources to match Nissan and Toyota product for product? How else can one explain the long lifecylcle's of the NSX. RL and now it seems the S2000 will probly be around for 7 or 8 years too. And lets not forget the 8 year life cycle that the Integra enjoyed.

I don't know, do you guys really think it's ugly? I'm not a huge fan of Honda but I'm able to recognize when they make nice looking cars. Autospies wrote about it today also and said it's a hit... Whats wrong with it? What don't you guys like? I think it's got some incredible styling especially in the interior. Granted not everything will make it to production. And yea domn, I agree that Honda has just let Nissan get back in the game big time. I don't really think they don't have the resources, I'm convinced they just do everything on their own time and terms. Which isn't bad don't get me wrong, but the automotive world doesn't revolve around Honda - it revolves around lots of companies. And please don't flame me, I'm just trying to get some good car talk going on here.

I love the way this thing looks. Infiniti is on a roll for real. I have no doubts that if this car does make it to production looking 90% like the concept, that it will make an impact in the luxury sedan market.

Nissan/Infiniti is definitely moving up....especially infiniti... but i think nissan was the second largest automaker in japan for a long time b4 honda overtook them for a while?? i know honda has very limited resources for R&D when compared to toyota..but they should still focus on something? it seems they haven't been doing any R&D at anything... hybrid technology so far its all talk while toyota is implementing them in mainstream cars. i hope honda/acura won't fall behind everybody else and become the nissan of old..

Gilbo:
Nissan is, in fact, Japan's oldest auto maker, and has held the #2 spot well into the recent past when they fell by the wayside (and Honda took over).
Re: the Fuga. I really like what Nissan has done with the design of their vehicles lately (with the exception of the Pathfinder Armada and QX56 - both look like 2 or 3 trucks welded together). However, Nissan is dead last in my book on interior quality (U.S. brands excluded), and their chassis dynamics is just bollocks. Sure, the G35 will corner well, but its extremely stiff ride is telling of a lack of chassis rigidity. All they did was stiffen the dampers to mask that.
Based on my conversations with some higher ups at BMW germany, their analysis of the G35 yielded the same results... They even went as far as to criticize the engine... But hey, if anybody can criticize a 6, it's BMW.

Nissan, with it's Renault connection, seems to be heavily influenced by the european parents. The new interiors of Nissans around the globe look very much like something you would find in the Renault line of cars. Good or bad? I don't know, personally, it's a mixed bag for me. Nissans are decent cars for decent money, but none of their vehicles are great values in terms of what you are getting.
Junkster, who hopes Honda stands alone unlike other Japanese car makers.

well this is what i found.....In March 1907, professors Yoshinki and Turumi from Osaka University established Hatsudoki Seizo Co. Ltd, an internal combustion engine manufacturing company that began its operational life building industrial engines for the Japanese domestic market. Initially the engines were fuelled by natural gas and used in their first car the HT10 as well as a variety of marine, mining and power generating industries.

It looks ugly in pictures, specially the rear, but I bet this car will be hot in real life!
Also The Interior is GORGEOUS!!!
This thing will surely be a good competitor for the NEW RL coming out
