Still curious what the msrp will be for the G37x sedan and the mpg on it with the 7AT. the new 09 TL will only get a paltry 17/24 for the SH-AWD version.

i dont think the 7AT will improve mpg that much. its more for performance. the new FX35 is faster than the old FX45.

17/24??? holy shit. i thought my G37's mpg was bad....

I have been getting 19-20mpg 90% city in my g37 and i have not even done my 1st oil change yet.

so... you should be getting 19/24 with G37.

G35/G37 coupe is always slightly more expensive than the sedan. So that should give you an idea on the MSRP.

Infiniti always looks good on paper. Then you check the sales figures and it's on par with TL. Shitty mpg numbers don't help them much. The tail of the sedans need a bit revision, IMO.

It does, but would have liked to see a bigger lower profile tire on the sedan. Like the 19s from the coupe.

^^^Nothing pisses me off more than a manufacturer adding content to the second year run of a new model. It happened to me with the TSX (added illuminated steering wheel controls and auto passenger window in 2005), the Civic Si (added VSC to the 2007), and now the G37S. I would love the new heated seat knobs and the washi aluminum on the door handles, not to mention the automatic door locks and the scratch shield paint. One day I will learn not to buy a first model-year car....

you're smoking some weed mansa24 if you think the 09 TL looks better than the G37 sedan.

besides the size of the 09 TL has grown it looks like it competes with the M35/M45 now.

Lightbulb Convertible

Infiniti Unveils Their G37 Convertible

Infiniti released a side profile shot of the car today as part of its Pebble Beach Concours festivities. The retractable hardtop four-seater maintains the original Coupe’s sleek lines but packs a three-piece top that folds neatly into the trunk. While there’s only one photo - for now- I’ve got to say it looks nice. Some people have said it looks like the bastard child of the Lexus SC430 and Pontiac G6, and I agree. They rear bulges are very GR-esque. But ofcourse, I’ll reserve my final judgement until there are more photos. I just hope Infiniti made the front and rear distinctive enough to differentiate the converitble from the coupe.

The car, which gets power from a 3.7L V6 that pumps out 320 HP, is inevitably going to be compared to the throne of convertibles, BMW’s 335i. So lucrative is the convertible business that even Lexus is planning to launch a drop top version of their IS Sedan. The Infiniti G37 Convertible is set to formally debut in sunny Los Angeles in November.

I like the sedans, but the coupes look

It looks like they had a board smashed up against the back.

Word....the coupes are a work of art...the sedans...not so much. The side profile is ugly, and the front looks retarted with all those humps I like the 1G better though, both coupe and sedan.

Reviving this old thread - Infiniti G37 7AT sedan is flippin' FAST!

0-60: 5.0 1/4 mi: 13.5 @ 105.3. This puts the Infiniti on par w/ the BMW 335i. Can't wait until Infiniti adds direct injection to this motor in another couple of years...

http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...est/index.html

FWIW, the G37 sedan 6MT times are roughly the same as the G35 sedan 6MT:

So will the regular G37 be just as fast (or is there a regular G37)? They tested the S version, which from the article, appears to be more about tuning enhancements rather than having an optional engine. Just wondering if base is still 3.5L and the S version is 3.7L, or will the whole series get the 3.7.

All infiniti Gs - coupes, sedans, sport, journey, base, etc. are G37s for 2009.

Theoretically, the quickest out of the entire line up would probably be the base G37 7AT as it weighs the least, doesn't have the heavy sport brakes, but still comes w/ the 3.7L engine and 7-speed AT.

my 6mt coupe is getting service and I got a 08 G35s sedan as a loaner, they really are great cars and the newer G37 will only make em better

I love my G37 coupe. The interior quality is better than the previous generations and is now on par with the Acura. I didn't love the rear end at first but it has grown on me. Here is mine
