if hyundai does bring a luxury division, this will fit very well.

Moog-Type-S 02-09-2006 11:16 PM

Hyundai's lux suv looks much better than the Infiniti FX

aaronnn 02-09-2006 11:26 PM

im not saying that the hyundai looks worse than the FX.. but pointing out that it looks similar.

although i do like the way the hyundai looks. alot cleaner and simple than the too aggressive looking FX. (the aggressiveness that doesnt really fit the luxury suv name).

TL CHROMETIDE 02-10-2006 12:17 AM

>Meh but I think the FX still looks better

phile 02-10-2006 06:32 AM

I see only 2 red X's

charliemike 02-10-2006 07:28 AM

I can't believe I'm saying this but the wheels are too big.

And I think Infiniti would have a shitfit.

That being said, I like it a lot!

dozorca 02-10-2006 08:17 AM

Looks very good. Much better then the FX imho.

gavriil 02-10-2006 09:30 AM

Do you have any info about this vehicle? I wonder if it's this rumored unnamed vehicle:

they steamed the infiniti badges off and threw some curvey H's on there lol

JediMindTricks 02-10-2006 11:13 AM

i like it!

i see the resemblance to the fx as well.

Teh Jatt 02-10-2006 11:31 AM

looks nice

titan 02-10-2006 01:03 PM

Damn. I don't see anything.

picus 02-10-2006 01:14 PM

Hyundai's entire premise is ripping off successful desgins. Look at the Sonata, or the Sante-Fe. This is just a compete rip of the Infiniti FX which is due for a redesign anyway (being a 4 year old model now). Given Infiniti's past designs I'm going to take a leap and say the new FX will look a hell of a lot better than this Hyundai.

chungkopi 02-10-2006 01:51 PM

i actually like what they did to sonata and santa fe. and i like the this CGI because now i can slowly see their identity.

no. i got this from my buddy. and he got it from some korean site. but definitely sounds like it.

heyitsme 02-10-2006 04:05 PM

That looks pretty sweet, like it better than the FX. Hopefully thats what Hyundai has in mind also.

but as long as hyundai makes nice cars, i don't really mind. people say the sonata ripped off the accord (before they changed the rear)...but i, personally, think it looks nicer.

it's a safe tactic...making safe designs and slowly gain a reputation other than cheap, affordable cars. hopefully, they'll be able to grow off a new reputation and make original designs and not play the conservative card.

picus 02-10-2006 05:07 PM

Ya, I don't have a problem with them ripping off designs, I didn't mean to infer that I did. I like the direction Hyundai is going. I just think this one might be a mistake.

titan 02-10-2006 05:31 PM

WWHOOOAAAA, I SEE IT NOW. Damn, it's just like the FX. What do you guys mean, "I see a slight resemblence?" It's damn near a carbon copy. The Sonata took the rear of the Accord, and actually improved on it. This is stealing the whole design, tweeking it, and coming out with this. It's a good looking SUV; just like the FX is a good looking SUV. I don't like the side glass though. The last pane behind the second set of doors butting against the C-pillar looks like a bloby afterthought. If Hyundai had a the balls to introduce this carbon copy, it'd sell well. The poor man's FX would be a hit. :bandito:

I agree 100%. Hyundai's finally got their quality to a decent level. Now, to help move the cars, they'll doing what Lexus did in the '90s with shameless design ripoffs. Atleast (as you said), the FX will be redesigned really soon.

phile 02-10-2006 07:02 PM

Looks like a re-worked Santa Ge, and it might even be photoshopped.

This is the current Terracan, a real SUV with real off roading abilities, so I doubt its replacement would turn into a cross-over (which is what the Santa Fe is in the lineup).

And with this, they copied the Land Crusier.
