Its a prototype, its not the final product, so before you all get make a mountain out of a molehill, keep that in mind.

True. But the initial teaser pic showed this:
But we got this instead:

^ Agreed. But really, I was not expecting it to be boxy at all, given that teaser pic.

somebody chop some 30" wheels on the prototype, and you'll be surprised how close it comes to the teaser pic... only the headlights look different otherwise

those headlights dont flow with the rest of the body shape

Another bad design from Honda. Honda is failing. It looks like a Trooper/Jeep bastard child.
Honda: Going forward in reverse.
...the concept interior is nice....but it won't look like that in the final production.

The answer to the original question is: It's not you, this thing is really UGLY. There goes sales figures for the future Pilot.
I love the part in the vehicle introduction when John Mendel turns to the public, and asked, "what do you think?" Somebody should have spoke up and tell him the truth. Damn, Fukui was there in person and need to hear it in person.

I've never understood how designs like this actually make it this far. All the different people just in this thread alone and nobody likes it. Wouldnt they have got the same results from a test market? Baffling...

As for this concept. Needs a new grill, headlights prob arent production, otherwise its following the boxy SUV trend, and I actually kind of like it, just need to see the interior. Its WAY better the current Pilot.
So, where exactly are the designs going backwards?

I wonder if they'll take the same approach to the interior....driver side is futuristic and passenger side is retro...ala Lincoln

i love the video on vtec when john mandel asks, what do you think? there is a slight silence and then forced clapping. i kind of wish someone went, "go back to the drawing board". it's ugly!

Stylewise, Murano > *. As with the 1G, I am certain the 2G will be a well built SUV with a great powertrain and respectable gas mileage but it also carries the same ugliness from the 1G as well.
...and to LuvMyTsx's post with regard to Lincoln. For has been hit (Mustang) or miss (Lincoln, Thunderbird) with that retro theme.
