rims remind me of the konig prophets.

vishnus11 09-15-2006 12:47 AM

build it, and i'll buy it. Fantastic exterior, unbelievable interior, superb performance.

EDIT: I meant bring it to the US and I'll buy it. This would be a great replacement for the beloved CRX.

I'm not interested in 0-60. I'm more interested in 40-60 and 60-80 ...

I know im quoting an old post....but what da hek

Dude, your mazda3 is the 2.3 litre, so of course it will have more torque than the K20. It has 0.3 litres more then the K20 2.0 litre.

Also......I think 200hp/200tq is a good start

How are you going to get 200lb-ft of torque out of a 2.0 litre engine, without going to FI? You're quite optimistic if you think 200lb-ft of torque for a 2.0 litre engine is a good start. Not saying it wouldnt be good, but come on man, consider the displacement here, before you start dreaming.

GunMetaL CLSPiG 09-15-2006 09:26 AM

the interior looks way way batter then the one we got here

Perhaps. I'll concede that 200/200 is a lot to ask for a 2.0 NA engine.

I just don't think the Civic is anything to get all worked up about.

Think the US got the sweet end of the stick this time, Si Coupe and Sedan that imo look way better than this boy racer mobile. It looks riced already and I think they made the same mistake they did with the last gen Si, no more power! They may have changed the powerband etc, but having that same peak number is lame.

that's freakin awesome

Paris 2006 Motor Show- The Pocket Rocket

I've always loved civics. It was my first car and the first one that got totalled(not my fault).

I thought i'd share some pics of this 200bhp pocket rocket.

i freakin love that hatchy model.

i loved how all civic type-r's were always a hatch. too bad we only get the Si versions here. really wish they sold more type-R honda's in the US.

F-C 09-28-2006 11:22 AM

I saw a few of those Euro Civics in Germany last week. They are gorgeous, too bad we get the US Civic here.

Deity711 09-28-2006 11:25 AM

Since when do Type Rs include navi?

I like it I guess, but the rear end is goofy looking and the dash looking like it came out of Star Trek.

There's a low weight option that removes the stereo and some noise damping material which shaves about 100lbs.

savage 09-28-2006 11:37 AM

hot interior...

bgsm1th 09-28-2006 11:46 AM

I don't like the look of the hatch...

Love the interior though and I bet it would be a blast to drive...

aaronnn 09-28-2006 02:30 PM

i think this one was the first one to come with the navi. same with the current gen civics. its an option, which i think is pretty cool. what i REALLY love about this car is that it looks EXACTLY like the concept version that it started out from.

triangular exhausts, side mirror blinkers, door handles, foglamps, headlamps, taillamps, the flares.. it looks like a futuristic concept car! although the ricey pepboys gas door has got to go. it looks so out of place with the whole car! the only thing thats brushed silver and all the way on the back of the car.. its like having one nasty red pimple on a pale person's face.

As I said in another thread - if they bring it over here, I'd probably end up buying it. Defintely looks/sounds/could be a worthy successor to the beloved CRX.

are you serious? although radio is a big thing for me, 100 lbs in a car this small makes a big difference, not that it's a touring car or anything...

Kind of like when Senna test drove the NSX. Sad thing is back then things were fantastic in that both the car (and no offense to JB but Senna is a legend) and driver were amazing.

also, if they offered the hatch in the US, I would take one over any of the cars in its segment any day if it were priced right. I am in the market for a hot hatch come summer time, and the GTI looks like the best of them so far. The CTR would probably edge it out if things were different.

...and i want those shoes! :tomato:

Report: Honda Civic Type R could come to U.S. in 2010

From Leftlanenews...

Report: Honda Civic Type R could come to U.S. in 2010
Honda is considering bringing its European market Civic Type R to the United States for the 2010 model year, according to a published report. The Type R is equipped with a 2.0-liter iVTEC engine delivering 220 horsepower. It also features sportier suspension and an appearance kit.

An assistant chief engineer from Honda told Winding Road magazine during a recent press event that the automaker is planning to send the Japanese-market Type R with a horsepower boost and a limited-slip differential to America.

The Type R sedan is more likely to come to the U.S. than the angular Type-R hatchback, since the latter model was not designed with the North American market in mind.
