Concept C
Concept C is a concept model for a middle-class sedan Honda is developing specially for the Chinese market. The "C" represents "Cool," "Challenge," and "China." The Concept C features a stately, distinctive and sporty design that was inspired by the image of a dragon. Honda is planning to introduce a mass-production model based on this Concept C next year through Guangqi Honda Automobile Co., Ltd.
Strengthening China-original development models
Last year, Guangqi Honda launched the mass production model of its original brand named Li Nian. And yesterday, Dongfeng Honda introduced CIIMO, its originally developed middle-class sedan.
Comment of Takanobu Ito, President and CEO, Honda Motor Co., Ltd.
"What continues to drive Honda forward is our passion to take on new challenges with our technologies without being limited by what came before, and to create products that make our customers say, 'I wanted this kind of car!' We will concentrate this driving force here in China and build vehicles tailored to the needs of our Chinese customers. Toward this end, Honda and our joint venture companies will work together to further localize our development, production and parts sourcing in China."

The sizzle in the Steak
Perhaps the "C" stands for "cool"
The front end is too busy, the rear a bit too.
...but I like it overall.

This could give an indication of the next Accord or TSX design direction.

In all seriousness it reminds me of Ford back in the late 90's and 2000's when everyone was screaming about how great the Euro product was and how tastic the U.S. product was......and why won't ford bring that stuff stateside.
Ford mistakenly thought the U.S. did not really want the Euro stuff.
Flash forward to today and look at the great Ford products that are here in N.A.
Ford finally figured it out, and now they are class leaders with product that everyone wants.
Honda is like Ford 10-15 years ago.

I like this model tho, it's a little busy right now but with some tweaking it should look fine

Someday, an RS6 Avant+
I think it has the right look. Now make this the basis for the next TL (no nose job Acura, please) and they'll have a winner.

Maybe this is bigger than an ILX, but before I read that my first impression was, "oh, this is what they will sell the ILX as over-seas." Like the euro-Accord and the TSX.
First reaction - way too over-designed. The front gives me a head-ache to look at, and why in the world would they re-create the ugly silver front end piece (what's it called, a phlem?) that most people seem to hate on the recent gen of Acuras. Well, maybe N.A. just hates it.
Simply the front end, better wheels, and take the edge off a bit and you'd have...well...an ILX. Oh, never mind....

This is the new JDM Inspire/US Accord, I have no doubts!
Only the front half design is shared between sedan and coupe, as always.

With the introduction of the 2013 Acura ILX, Acura’s aging TSX now has to compete with a much newer model that’s almost the same size and occupies a very similar price segment.
This has led to suggestion that the TSX will be dropped from Acura’s lineup once the current model has run its course.
To fill the gap between the entry-level ILX and recently previewed RLX flagship in Acura’s sedan lineup will still be the TL, however, Motor Trend reports that the TL could eventually converge with the TSX to form a new ‘TLX’ model.
What’s all this got to do with Honda’s new Concept C sedan unveiled at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show?
A major clue is hidden in the concept’s front-end styling. The Concept C’s grille features a distinct Acura-like beak, which we haven’t seen before on any previous model from Honda. Also, the concept is for a mid-size sedan, which is about the right size for a new TLX.
On top of this, the Concept C also shares some elements with Honda’s recent 2013 Accord Coupe Concept, such as the angular headlights and square intakes, suggesting that it may also preview the next-generation Honda Accord Euro model, the previous generation of which is currently available in the U.S. as the Acura TSX.
The only official comment is that the Concept C previews a new “middle-class sedan” for the Chinese market and that it will be entering production next year. We wouldn’t be surprised if some of its elements feature on Acura’s replacement for the TSX and TL models, which is due out late next year.
Honda also used the 2012 Beijing Auto Show to unveil a stylish MPV study dubbed the Concept S. It packs a hybrid drivetrain and has been confirmed for a global launch next year, most likely as the next-generation of the Honda Odyssey sold overseas.

My first Avatar....
Well, what ever the Concept C will become...It is 1000 times better than the current TL as far as proportion and overall shape is concerned. They still need to clean up the grille though.

Even ford still does not sell its best products in the US. Ford focus rs and fiesta rs. I wouldn't necessarily blame just the companies, they sell what they assume americans want to buy. From what I have seen they want boring sedans and boring suv's. Those are always the best sellers. Plus our stricter safety and emissions regulations.
What stands out to me is how ugly the front grille is and how having it above the lights it looks like a unibrow. Move it down to under the lights and going thru the middle of the grille and it would be much better.
Seems every company is making a special dragon edition for china.

^^ Because the new Fusion sedan is so boring.

Карты убийцы
I also love the bends and angles in the hood as it gives any car character. But the grill treatment looks like an eagle from the side. That needs to be smoothed out abit.

They all like to employ a very small sleek side mirror(s).
They never make production. I believe they don't due to DOT and Euro standards.
...but they look a lot nicer than the "big" mirrors.

I see a fair bit of Hyundai Sonata in the greenhouse shape and rear with a somewhat characteristic (lately) Honda nose at the front. My guess is that this will either be the new global Accord Sedan or Honda Inspire. Some variation of this with more Acura design elements will likely be a TSX/TL/TLX, but I doubt this specific design will be that particular model. It would bear too much similarity to the newly introduced Accord Coupe concept.

I knew someone would bring up what's perceived to be the styling benchmark in this segment (mainly the Hyundai Sonata).
Fortunately, the Concept C sedan looks to be leaps and bounds sharper without overdoing the swoopy look. IMHO, it appears to be a sculpted and MUCH more tastefully executed evolution from the 8G sedan. If the 9G sedan even remotely appears like the Concept C then I'll likely have a fourth straight generation of the Accord sedan in my garage.

Most concepts don't use actual side mirrors. It is a camera in place of the side mirror, and you view it on a screen on the dash. I would assume they don't make production cars for safety reasons(people being too used to looking at mirror instead of dash). Could also be a cost issue.

The ford focus rs and st are completely different animals.
Here is a quote from the designer.
"The ST is like a dolphin and the RS is like a shark."
The Focus RS' uses RevoKnuckle front suspension (a variation on the traditional MacPherson strut that reduces torque steer), it's more likely that the ST will use MacPherson struts to keep costs down.
From car and driver
"To help get that power to the ground without jerking the car into the weeds, the Focus ST will have a brake-based limited-slip differential similar to that in the base Focus. (Ford tries to spin it as torque vectoring, but it isn’t.) "
So the ST dsnt even have a real lsd, while the RS has a Quaife lsd.
The RS comes with 300 hp, 325 tq. The ST is 247 and 266. There is more to list also.
That is like saying the bmw 1 series with the m performance package is same as a bmw 1m.
