I dont know. For climate and radio, I still prefer to have the buttons on my fingertips. Call me concervative but to get into a menu in order to adjust the temp by a degree is too much. Unless if they have manual overrides for simple tasks like these.

10000000% true...i'm disgusted by the new interior in the 5series...looks cheaper than the e39 and less luxurious

i like buttons, a bare dash like the one bmw is trying to create looks cheap imo. if you're going to make the majority of functions computer based at least do what acura has done, make a stylish center area for a large screen.

the people that have had the idrive for a lil while seem to like it fine and say its really easy. it appears the only people who bitch about it being hard to understand are the people who dont have it (and old people that have no hand eye coordination).
it only took me 15 minutes at the dealer to figure it out when it first came out. i really dont find it as much of a pain as alot of people make it out to be. buttons for air controls are good though eventhough they dont look that great.
