GMC: Sorrano News
The Chicago Tribune is reporting that for 2008 GMC will get a minivan (there is a small CGI on the paper also). It will share the Malibu platform and it will happen at the same time the Uplander will be refreshed.

Minivan: When GM's current minivans die, only two GM brands will offer the next generation: Chevrolet and GMC. The 2010 GMC minivan will share GM's Lambda vehicle architecture with the 2010 Chevrolet minivan. Front-end styling is expected to be unique. The GMC model may be called the Sorrano.

Wow. A professional grade minivan. I thought that GM's upscale minivan would go to Saturn, for sure. I guess they figured since GMC's lineup is already limited, a minivan would help fill it out without actually going against the brand image. Also, since Buick, Pontiac, and GMC now share floorspace, I'd much rather see GMC get a minivan than either Buick or Pontiac.
